Psychology Graduate Teaching Support Specialist

We are seeking a Psychology graduate with an interest in developing experience through working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role involves assisting and supporting the development and learning of students within the school, providing 1:1 and general support according to requirements, and working alongside other teaching and support staff to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support students with SEND in a dynamic school environment
  2. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure effective student support
  3. Adhere to school policies, including behaviour policies

Requirements:

  • A patient and understanding approach
  • An interest in working with students with SEND
  • Flexibility in your approach
  • Existing DBS check on the update service (new checks can be applied for)
  • Existing experience working with children or adults with SEND is advantageous but not required
