We are Academics Ltd, a leading provider of educational services. We are committed to delivering high-quality support to schools and students, and we are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Support Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will work closely with qualified Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers, and other professionals to deliver interventions to children with speech, language, and communicational needs. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the class teacher in providing a learning experience for students, as well as providing behaviour and pastoral support.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support students with severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties
  2. Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
  3. Behaviour and pastoral support
  4. Take an active role in forward planning with therapists
  5. Ability to build robust and effective relationships with students
  6. Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  8. Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
  9. Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  10. Ensure safeguarding of students, in line with procedures
  11. Personal care support
What We Offer:

A competitive daily rate of £90-£110, Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm, term time only. Candidates registering with Academics Ltd will need to have or apply for an Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check where appropriate. An estimated salary for this role is £36,000-£45,000 per annum, based on a 5-day week and 38 weeks per year.
