About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our Sustainability Stewardship Service. This senior role will support a team responsible for developing and implementing a client proxy voting policy aligned with our new Sustainability Stewardship Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead company engagements that reflect participating client views on sustainability priority topics and represent the opt-in assets.
  • Support the development and implementation of a client proxy voting policy that will be aligned with the new Sustainability Stewardship Service.
  • Lead the integration of broader sustainability research and insights into policy development and industry efforts.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand the emerging sustainability landscape and ensure the service is aligned with client expectations.
  • Represent participating clients' views in relevant industry groups, publications, and other forums.
  • Engage with participating clients and provide transparency on activities of the service.
  • Provide coaching and training to junior members of the team.
  • Support the Head of Sustainability Stewardship to ensure the success of the service.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in asset stewardship, including company engagement.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability-related topics is a requirement. Experience engaging on climate risks is preferred.
  • Proven ability to effectively navigate an increasingly complex environment.
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communications skills with an engaging personality.
  • Ability to present information in an organized and clear fashion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with comfort working independently and within a team setting.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, demonstrating initiative and the ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Highly effective relationship-building and collaborative working style with an ability to balance various stakeholders.
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented.
  • Graduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., business, economics, or finance) and/or CFA designation (or willingness to pursue these designations) would be beneficial.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $202,500 annually. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
