Role

As a Senior Stewardship Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our firm's active ownership needs. Based in London, you will work closely with our EMEA Head of Stewardship to shape and execute our strategic stewardship agenda, engagement plan, and proxy vote guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse shareholder meeting agendas and related materials to ensure timely and accurate votes in accordance with our proxy voting guidelines.
  • Engage with boards and senior executives of investee companies on ESG and proxy voting related issues.
  • Monitor progress towards engagement milestones and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with CA100+, IIGCC, and FAIRR on co-led engagements.
  • Contribute to the integration of our stewardship program into our investment decision-making process and collaborate with fundamental research analysts.
  • Refine our proxy voting policy and contribute to the annual review of our engagement and proxy voting policies.
  • Research and write position papers on strategic engagement themes and topics.
  • Contribute to the annual stewardship report creation and submission process.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of sustainability and ESG issues and their impact on investment.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into business and financially relevant issues.
  • Strong knowledge of stewardship best practice.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and inspire stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple informational sources.
  • Time management and personal discipline are essential.
