Main Responsibilities

The Specialist Learning Disability Service is a specialist County-wide service consisting of Learning disability nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Support Assistants who offer a range of services for children and adolescents with a diagnosed Learning Disability, from assessment and intervention to consultation, liaison and training for other agencies.

The service can support Children and Adolescents with a moderate to profound Learning Disability, in conjunction with complex behavioural, Health or Sleep issues related to this diagnosis.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Nurse/Clinical Team Manager to lead our Early Intervention team within the Specialist Learning Disability Service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive service plan that meets the needs of children and adolescents with a Learning Disability, and will work closely with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Learning Disability nursing, with experience in managing complex cases and developing innovative solutions to meet the needs of children and adolescents with a Learning Disability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive service plan that meets the needs of children and adolescents with a Learning Disability
  • Manage and supervise a team of Learning Disability nurses and other professionals
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Develop and deliver training and education programs for staff and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of our service and work collaboratively with other teams to achieve our goals
