About the Role:
We're seeking a skilled Community Development Officer to join our team at VIVID Housing. As a Community Development Officer, you will play a crucial role in fostering strong relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and external partners to drive positive change and social impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative community investment projects that address pressing issues such as mental health, public transportation, and substance misuse.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations, local authorities, and other stakeholders to create a positive environment for our customers to live in.
- Oversee the efficient allocation of resources and program management within set budgets and timelines to achieve set objectives.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and present findings to VIVID Housing and Rushmoor Borough Council, in collaboration with residents.
- Secure external funding through grant applications and other fundraising activities.
- Carry out site inspections to ensure community centers are effectively managed, comply with health and safety legislation, and provide suitable space for social enterprises.
Requirements:
- Good awareness and understanding of the Social Housing sector, including section 106 requirements and associated funding.
- Proficiency in Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) principles and practices.
- Experience in developing and leading community projects, with a proven track record of building relations with internal and external customers.
- Full current driving license with access to a vehicle.
