Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled School Transport Manager to join our team at Argyll and Bute Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient provision of public and school transport, meeting quality and safety standards, and providing integration and best value to users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule school transport routes and timings to achieve best value.
  • Recruit and manage drivers and escorts.
  • Manage school transport contracts on a day-to-day basis.
  • Provide solutions to school transport issues.
  • Work with the procurement team to prepare tender documents for school and public transport.
  • Assist in budget monitoring.
