Lead School Nurse Team

We are seeking a highly skilled School Nurse Team Leader to join our team at NHS Highland. As a School Nurse Team Leader, you will provide professional leadership and line management to a small team of school nurses. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of School Nursing across Argyll and Bute.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional leadership and line management to a small team of school nurses.
  • Under the management and supervision of the Child Health Manager, your responsibilities will include line management, leadership, caseload management, and ongoing team development.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communicative skills and have the ability to be adaptable and flexible.
  • Evidence must be provided of keeping up to date in SCPHN school nursing practice issues and awareness of developments in School Nursing and make changes to clinical practice as required.
  • As a School Nurse Team Leader, you will also need to show you are clinically effective, a sound decision maker and have the ability to manage change.

Requirements

  • Have a relevant qualification in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing.
  • Have extensive experience.
  • Have knowledge and experience of systems such as GIRFEC and Child Protection processes.
