Job Title: Housing Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Housing Support Worker to join our team at Moray Council. As a key member of our housing support team, you will play a vital role in preventing homelessness and providing essential support to vulnerable households.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide home management and life skills training to support households in maintaining their tenancies.
  • Offer advice and guidance on accessing local support services, ensuring that individuals and families receive the help they need.
  • Conduct tenancy maintenance support, ensuring that properties are safe and well-maintained.
  • Implement procedures and carry out duties as directed by the Housing Support Officer or Housing Support Assistants.
  • Maintain accurate records of contact with service users, ensuring that information is up-to-date and comprehensive for audit purposes.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with people with multiple needs and complex issues.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification in Housing or a related field.
  • Willingness to work towards mandatory SSSC Registration and maintain registration through ongoing training and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues alike.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £25,555 per year, plus £13.63 per hour.
  • A 36.25-hour working week, with flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
