About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association Limited. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and housing support to our customers in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and housing support to customers in their own homes, in line with their care plans.
  • Assist with personal mobility support, daily personal tasks, and general housekeeping.
  • Administer medication from level 1-4.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a dignified, safe, and stimulating service is delivered.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for helping people.
  • Can demonstrate Hanover Scotland values in Inclusion, accountability, respect, and collaboration.
  • Is able to work flexibly and travel between developments within the area.
  • Can relate empathetically to people and recognise their right to choose and independence.
  • Is willing to work towards an SVQ and registration with SSSC.
  • Can work flexibly and as a lone worker on site, covering a 24-hour shift pattern.
  • Is able to use Microsoft or equivalent applications competently.
Desirable Qualifications

We would prefer candidates with:

  • 1 year of experience in a care or housing setting.
  • SVQ level 2 or above and a willingness to work towards an SVQ 3.
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to undertake care practice in accordance with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) code of practice, National Care Standards, Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care, and the Association's policies and procedures.
