We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head of Music to join our successful department at a prestigious school in Waltham Forest, East London.

About the Role:

  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Deliver engaging music lessons across key stages 4 and 5, developing students' knowledge and practical skills.
  • Departmental Contribution: Contribute to the overall success of the school, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve academic excellence.
  • Student Progress: Prepare students for examinations and assessments, monitoring their progress and providing targeted support.
  • Leadership and Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A strong background in music education, with expertise in teaching and curriculum development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate others
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in music education
