As Head of Music Department, you will be responsible for leading the musical life of one of the country's leading independent schools.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated musician to join our team as Director of Music. This is a unique opportunity to shape the musical provision of the school and lead performances in a magnificent venue.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead on all aspects of music delivery in the senior school
  • Work with the junior school director of music to ensure cohesive provision of musical education
  • Be responsible for the overall strategic direction of the music department
  • Bring new and innovative ideas to further develop the school's musical offering
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A first-rate musician with a degree related to music or experience in the field of music
  • Ability to play piano and organ is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the subject, the school, and its pupils
Location

The school is located in a picturesque setting with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Salary

£55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience
