The ICDS EHC Assessment Team is responsible for facilitating the statutory Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) Assessment process and for maintaining all EHCPs on behalf of the Local Authority. As a Special Educational Needs Coordinator, you will work closely with professionals, children, young people, and their parents/carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for those with SEND.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement policies and procedures to support children and young people with SEND.
  2. Work collaboratively with education settings, professionals, and parents/carers to identify and meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make recommendations for improvements.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver training and professional development opportunities.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and guidance, including the SEND Code of Practice 2015.
