SEND Strategy Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the role of Designated Social Care Officer – SEND (DSCO). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of social care elements of the SEND strategy, working closely with leaders in social care and service managers to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
You will have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and the Children & Families Act (2014), and be able to develop action plans and processes to support SEND activity within social care operations and practice.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. They will also possess a strong understanding of the SEND system and be able to drive forward organisational culture change aligned to the SEND Strategy.
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
Required Skills and Qualifications:The successful candidate must have a degree in Social Work, CQSW/DipSW or equivalent, and registration as a social worker with Social Work England. They will also require excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
