About the Role

Positive Futures Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Designated Safeguarding and Pastoral Lead to join its leadership team in Meldreth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing safeguarding issues both on and off site, working closely with staff and students to support positive behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve individual and site practice around behaviour and safeguarding.
  • Coordinate the effective implementation of the Attendance Policy.
  • Provide rapid response to staff when a child requires additional support.
  • Deliver relevant behaviour and safeguarding training to staff through Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Compile data for Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Governors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and assist the school business manager in completing educational visits (EVCs).
About You

We are looking for an individual with a strong commitment to student and staff well-being who can contribute to our creative curriculum offer. Essential qualifications include a GCSE (or equivalent) in English & Maths, DSL training level 3 or above, and experience working as a DSL. A Level 3 in Health and Social Care or working with children and young people is desirable.
