Job Title: A&E General Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced A&E General Nurse to join our team at Livewell Southwest. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized care to patients, assessing, planning, implementing, reviewing, and evaluating their care needs.
  • Act as a Keyworker for a designated group of clients, using the Personalised Care Framework process to ensure comprehensive risk assessment, history, planning, and management.
  • Contribute to the therapeutic programme within the unit, creating individual programmes for service users and working in partnership with carers to offer support, advice, and reassurance.
  • Responsible for the safe storage and administration of medication, educating clients and carers about medication benefits and side effects.
  • Take responsibility for the Nurse in Charge role, planning and organizing daily clinical activity, adjusting staff rotas, and maintaining staff and client safety.
  • Contribute to staff development, providing advice and guidance to new or inexperienced staff, and participating in clinical supervision and reflective practice.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license.
  • Experience in A&E or mental health nursing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Code of Practice.
