About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educarer to join our team at Broomfield SILC. As an Educarer, you will provide medical support to our pupils, enabling them to access education on our site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical support to pupils, including administering daily medical interventions
  • Work collaboratively with our NHS Nursing Team to ensure the best possible care for our pupils
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Ability to relate well to children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to use initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Good maths and English skills
  • Good IT skills, including use of email and medical records

About Us

Broomfield SILC is a generic special school for pupils aged 2 to 19 years, with four sites across Leeds. We cater for a wide range of needs, including moderate, severe, and complex learning difficulties, autism, and social and emotional and mental health needs.
