About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educarer to join our team at Broomfield SILC. As an Educarer, you will provide medical support to our pupils, enabling them to access education on our site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical support to pupils, including managing and administering daily medical interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with our NHS Nursing Team to ensure the best possible care for our pupils.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans for pupils.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in medical support and special needs education.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and initiative-taking skills.
  • Good mathematical and English skills.
  • Good IT skills, including the use of email and medical record-keeping software.
  • Willingness to learn, reflect, and share effective practice with others.

About Us

Broomfield SILC is a generic special school for pupils aged 2 to 19 years with 4 sites. We cater for a wide range of needs, including moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, complex and multiple learning needs, Autism, and social and emotional and mental health needs.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
