Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Development Lead to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Development Lead, you will play a key role in providing clinical support and direction to community nursing staff, sharing your expertise to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to community nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice and best patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operational Team Lead to ensure staff are competent in their roles and new staff are inducted and supported to reach competency.
  • Implement and promote innovative practice to enhance quality of service provision and patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with staff, promoting succession planning and staff development.
  • Support staff to undertake clinical duties, implementing evidence-based practice and promoting self-care and independence.
  • Conduct courageous conversations and support staff with performance-related issues.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical supervision, induction, preceptorship, and development of staff.
  • Exercise leadership and judgment in the management of a Community Nursing Team, ensuring good clinical practice and maintaining high standards of care.

  • NMC registered Nurse
  • Specialist Community Practice qualification relevant to field of practice
  • Teaching and assessing qualification
  • Ability to motivate self and teams to manage change
  • Ability to influence and problem-solve
  • Demonstrates cultural awareness
  • Valid full UK licence with the use of a car for work purposes
