About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in providing clinical support and direction to community nursing staff, ensuring that they have the necessary expertise and resources to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support and direction to community nursing staff, ensuring that they have the necessary expertise and resources to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Work alongside the Operational Team Lead to ensure that staff are competent in their role and that new staff are inducted and supported to reach competency required for their role.
  • Implement evidence-based practice to ensure best patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with other primary care team members to ensure a seamless service.
  • Monitor clinical supervision, induction, preceptorship, and development of staff.
  • Exercise leadership and judgment in the management of a Community Nursing Team to ensure good clinical practice and maintain high standards of care.
  • Provide education opportunities and training for all staff and students, including pre- and post-registration nursing students.
  • Develop district nursing practice in a defined area, developing and using relationships with other primary care team members.
  • Ensure that the service is meeting business and performance requirements of the Organisation in-line with service specification, contract, and CQUIN.
Requirements
  • NMC registered Nurse.
  • Specialist Community Practice qualification relevant to field of practice.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Must be willing to undertake Advanced History taking qualification within 6-12 months of appointment.
  • Must be willing to undertake Non-Medical-Prescriber Qualification within 6-12 months of completing advanced history taking.
  • Knowledge relating to practice assessor qualification.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
Desirable
  • Evidence of studying at Masters level.
