About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological therapies to young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the provision of psychological therapies to young people and their families, ensuring a high level of service quality and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement service developments to ensure patients receive the most appropriate interventions in a timely manner, balancing current research evidence, available resources, and local and national policy objectives.
  • Supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other psychologists and clinical team members, ensuring adherence to professional and local guidelines and policies.
  • Work autonomously to exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service, ensuring robust risk assessments are completed for all activities and that each young person has an appropriate risk assessment for off-site activities.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation using RIO, and participate in handovers and multi-disciplinary team meetings to provide feedback on patients and contribute to decision-making.
