Job Description

This is a technical role working within the Design and Development team at House of CB. You will be responsible for the digital technical development of various garments, including knitwear, working on tech packs, CADs and amendments from the initial sketch from the designers to the delivery of first sample.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with designers to produce technical packs which are true to the designer's vision and the brand's quality standards.
  • Draw accurate technical drawings and occasional artworks using Illustrator.
  • Decide on and have strong ideas for appropriate finishes and construction and help source suitable hardware.
  • Collect relevant information from team members and collate into technical packs in Illustrator.
  • Communicate clearly with RTW and knitwear departments to ensure that each garment details are correct.
  • Understand and communicate garment construction and pattern cutting, so accurate and clear tech packs can be made for in-house and offshore sampling teams.
  • Have knowledge of how to improve the quality of garments to a higher level. Understand luxury garments through construction and materials.
  • Work with the in-house computer system to liaise with offshore factories to answer queries on technical specs.
  • Amend technical packs, BOMs and range overviews to keep all designs up to date and accurate.
  • Measure and prepare garments and assist in fits.
  • General administration - range plans/sample tracking etc.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar or complementary role.
  • Experience in knitwear or an interest to learn.
  • Proficient in Illustrator and Excel.
  • Confident in garment construction and pattern cutting techniques.
  • Good fabric and yarn knowledge.
  • Comfortable working to a strict schedule.
  • Confident in measurements and proportions.
