Business Development Manager

Clarksons is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Port Agency and Integrated Marine Logistics division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain close relationships with key clients to understand their needs and develop tailored service offerings.
- Progress key client requirements efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding expectations.
- Set and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with company and client objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term strategic relationships with clients, suppliers, and business partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and assist the Business Development team in assigning targets for development.
- Support the generation, submission, and follow-up of quotations and tender responses.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and similar events to create business opportunities.
- Regular travel, domestically and overseas, to visit clients, suppliers, and business partners.
- Proven business development background within the shipping sector, preferably with B2B sales experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively liaise with people at all levels.
- Client-oriented approach, with the ability to tailor service offerings.
- Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a can-do approach.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and use initiative to solve problems.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work, with strong IT skills and intermediate Excel skills.
