Dynamic Nursing Leader for Acute Children's Ward

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Staff Nurse to join our team on the Panther Ward at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a nursing professional who is eager to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care, with a focus on providing compassionate and family-centered care to children with complex medical needs. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for leading by example, mentoring junior staff members, and contributing to the development of our ward's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- To provide high-quality patient care that meets the needs of each child, working closely with other healthcare professionals to achieve outstanding outcomes.
- To lead and manage a team of nurses, promoting a culture of collaboration, respect, and open communication.
- To contribute to the development of our ward's policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant to current practice.
- To mentor and support junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and confidence in their role.
- To work collaboratively with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care pathways for patients.
- Degree-qualified Registered Nurse (Child) with experience in acute children's nursing.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and families.
- Strong clinical skills, with the ability to assess and prioritize the needs of each patient.
- Ability to work autonomously, making decisions and taking responsibility for actions.
- A competitive salary of £34,890 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience.
