Premises Officer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Premises Officer to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security, cleanliness, and maintenance of Adult Learning Lewisham and designated community premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the premises are secure, clean, and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety legislation.
  • Hold and secure premises keys, ensuring effective locking up and opening procedures are followed.
  • Perform portering duties, general maintenance, and minor repairs at all locations.
  • Action daily centre-related tasks and those set out on the premises team task system.
  • Collect and distribute incoming mail, parcels, and other deliveries, ensuring secure storage and compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements:
  • First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience of carrying out minor repairs.
  • Experience of working with staff and members of the public.
  • Experience of ensuring building security and being a secure key holder.
  • Experience of ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Experience of maintaining an inventory of furniture and equipment.
  • Experience of monitoring and resolving building or equipment maintenance defects.
