Premises Officer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Premises Officer to join our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our premises, including portering duties, general maintenance, and minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform portering duties, general maintenance, and minor repairs at all locations.
  • Action daily centre-related tasks and those set out on the premises team task system.
  • Collect and distribute incoming mail, parcels, and other deliveries, ensuring secure storage and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to visitors, centre users, colleagues, and other staff.
  • Liaise with the premises team leader and/or premises and facilities manager regarding repairs, equipment orders, and contractor supervision.
  • Ensure heating and ventilation systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect equipment and perform daily inspections of boiler equipment as required.
  • Take delivery of stores, materials, and transport them to all centres as needed.
  • Maintain internal and external grounds in a clean and tidy manner, controlling parking in centre car parks.
Requirements:
  • Experience in carrying out minor repairs and maintenance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of heating and ventilation systems, basic DIY procedures, and security procedures.
  • Ability to solve problems and think creatively.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
