Role Overview

Ribbons and Reeves Limited is seeking a dedicated SEMH Support Assistant to provide crucial 1:1 and small group support for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work in a supportive environment with experienced professionals to lead interventions that improve academic progress and personal development. The role involves providing tailored 1:1 support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEMH needs, adapting strategies to meet individual needs
  • Lead interventions to improve academic progress and personal development, recognising the importance of early intervention
  • Collaborate with families, school staff, and external professionals to ensure holistic support, understanding the value of collaboration
  • Maintain a structured and nurturing environment, encouraging positive behaviour and learning outcomes

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a degree in Psychology or a related field, preferably from a leading UK university. Previous experience working with SEN or SEMH students is preferred, as is knowledge of SEMH strategies and best practices. You should be confident and proactive when managing challenging behaviour, with excellent communication skills to liaise with families, school teams, and third parties.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated at £92-£102 per day via PAYE, offering competitive daily pay. In addition to a rewarding salary, you will have opportunities for professional development (CPD) and training, allowing you to grow and develop your skills in a supportive environment.
