Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Materials Development Engineer to join our team at HRCentral Ltd in London. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative protein-based fibres.

This challenging position involves operating and optimizing our pilot lab line to evaluate protein spinnability, improving the spinning process to enhance fibre performance, and planning, conducting, and analysing experiments. You will also be responsible for developing novel processes, supervising and improving measuring methods for process monitoring, and carrying out material testing.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or equivalent work experience. A high level of creativity, excellent documentation practice, and experience with chemical handling are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, is also required. Experience with data analysis using Python or other programming languages is an advantage.
