Genetic Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Genetic Counsellor to join our team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Genetic Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality genetic counselling services to patients and families affected by genetic disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide genetic counselling to patients and families, including explaining complex medical and scientific information in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Support patients and families in their decision-making process, ensuring they have the necessary information to make informed choices.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in education and training of other healthcare professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills in genetic counselling.

Person Specification- Current registration as a Genetic Counsellor with the Genetic Counselling Registration Board (GCRB) or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Teaching qualification and experience in delivering education and training to healthcare professionals.
- Full driving license and ability to travel to various locations as required.
