Job Title: Genetic Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Genetic Counsellor to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Genetic Counsellor, you will provide high-quality genetic counselling services to patients and families affected by genetic disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide genetic counselling to patients and families, including explaining complex medical and scientific information in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver genetics clinics and services.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in clinical genetics and evidence-based practice.
Requirements:
  • Current GCRB registration as a Genetic Counsellor or HCPC registration as a Genomic Counsellor.
  • Teaching qualification and experience of formal/informal teaching.
  • Full driving license and ability to travel to various locations.
  • Significant relevant experience in clinical genetics, including cancer, cardiac, prenatal, and general genetics.
