About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Genetic Counsellor to join our team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Genetic Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality genetic counselling services to patients and families affected by genetic disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide genetic counselling to patients and families, including explaining complex medical and scientific information in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Support patients and families in making informed decisions about their genetic health.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in education and training of other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of genetic counselling services.

Requirements
  • Current registration as a Genetic Counsellor with the Genetic Counselling Registration Board (GCRB) or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Full driving license.
