We are seeking a highly skilled Genetic Counsellor to join our team in the East Anglian Clinical Genetics Service. As a Genetic Counsellor, you will provide a high-quality genetic counselling service to patients and families affected by genetic disorders.
The successful candidate will have significant relevant experience in Clinical Genetics, including experience of initiating and delivering change, and experience of working in a multidisciplinary team (MDT) environment.
You will be responsible for comprehending and communicating complex medical and scientific facts to patients and relatives, and for developing liaisons with other practice areas and academic institutions.
The role requires a strong understanding of Clinical Governance and evidence-based practice, as well as advanced written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality genetic counselling to patients and families affected by genetic disorders.
- Comprehend and communicate complex medical and scientific facts to patients and relatives.

- Work collaboratively with the MDT to deliver high-quality patient care.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current GCRB registration as a Genetic Counsellor or Current HCPC registration as a Genomic Counsellor.
- Significant relevant experience in Clinical Genetics.
- Experience of initiating and delivering change.
- Experience of working in a MDT environment.
