About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Fostering Recruitment and Special Guardianship Team as a Recruitment and Publicity Officer.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment marketing strategies to promote fostering in Merton. You will work closely with Social Workers and foster carers to identify and engage with potential foster families, and provide support and guidance throughout the recruitment process.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with community groups and professionals to promote fostering in Merton
  • Designing and implementing recruitment marketing strategies for individual children to find alternative families
  • Liaising with members of the public and approved foster carers to promote fostering opportunities
  • Working closely with Social Workers to support the recruitment process and provide training for foster carers

We are looking for someone with substantial experience in marketing, promotion, and recruitment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
