Job Title: Land and Property Surveyor

Our client, a Public Sector organization, is seeking a highly skilled Land and Property Surveyor to join their team on a 3-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land acquisition, valuation, and surveying, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage land acquisition requests, including seeking land valuations, managing consultation with neighboring properties, and negotiating costs.
  • Maximize quality and performance within the Housing Investment and Asset Management service by carrying out pre-arranged and random site inspections, assessing level of quality, timeliness, and customer care.
  • Provide a professional contract management/surveying service across the city, including preparing reports for Committee, selecting marketing approaches, and appointing agents.
  • Investigate and find resolution to complaints against the Housing Investment and Asset Management service, considering council interests.
  • Respond to property queries from the public, outside organizations, elected members, client officers, and departments, investigating or initiating investigations as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience of carrying out land/property surveys.
  • Experience in Valuation and Commercial Estate.
  • Proven experience of identifying building defects.
  • Proven experience of surveying.
  • Proven experience of producing specifications of work in construction.
  • Experience of dealing effectively with concerns or complaints from customers from a range of backgrounds.
  • Experience of local authority procurement methods.
  • Experience of producing high-quality documents, reports, and correspondence.
What We Offer:
