Nurse Practitioner Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Apprentice Nurse Associate. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the development of our patients.
Main Responsibilities:- Work alongside Registered Nurses on Ward 9 stroke unit to deliver care and guide patients during their stay on the unit.
- Administer medicines within professional limitations and competence set by the professional bodies.
- Supervise non-registered practitioners, such as Healthcare Assistants.
- Contribute to the holistic assessment and management of patients' care needs.
- Deliver evidence-based care and identify and plan preventative measures and anticipatory care needs in discussion with registered nursing staff.
- Work on own initiative and within scope of competence.
- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, carers, and all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Venipuncture and Cannulation competency.
We offer a competitive salary of £25,147 to £27,596 per annum (pro rata for part-time) and a comprehensive training program to support your development as a Nurse Associate.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
