About the Role
We are seeking a Female Rehabilitation Support Worker to provide support to a 6-year-old male child who requires assistance with his rehabilitation goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centred care, promoting independence, and facilitating the child's participation in various activities. The role requires a minimum of 1 year's experience in health and social care, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care to the client, promoting independence and dignity
- Assist the client with daily living activities, including personal care and medication administration
- Facilitate the client's participation in various activities, such as education and leisure
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the client's care plan
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in health and social care
- Basic understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Ability to work in the client's home
- Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals daily
- Ability to take a person-centred approach
- Experience in medication administration, personal care, and manual handling
- Willingness to learn and the ability to take on feedback
- Ability to think outside the box
