Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience while making a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
The successful candidate will work in a school in Maidenhead, supporting students who struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, and various other mood disorders. They will facilitate a positive and safe environment for these students to learn and grow.
As a Mental Health Assistant, you will directly help children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health. You will make learning fun and engaging while ensuring that it becomes concrete.
Your day-to-day duties will involve supporting and shadowing the class teacher, providing 1:1 support for SEN students, and running exciting lessons to create a fun and engaging classroom environment. Behavioral management may also be required.
This role would suit someone who is resilient and confident in supporting young people with challenging mental health needs. This is a great opportunity for aspiring psychologists, social workers, therapists, and counselors.
Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential. Those with a background in sports, art, or drama will also have an advantage. Graduates in a relevant field will also be considered.
