Children's Residential Care Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner to join our team at a small, specialized children's residential home in Caterham, Surrey. This role offers a supportive environment with excellent training and development opportunities.
About the Role- Lead and plan shifts to ensure staff deployment meets children's needs and all risk assessments are adhered to.
- Plan and engage young people in recreational and social activities that are constructive and enriching.
- Act as a key worker for specific young people, managing casework, report writing, and care plans.
- Engage in training and development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Use available resources efficiently to meet the needs of young people and maintain cleanliness in living areas.
- Must have experience working in a children's residential setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead shifts as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Competitive salary: £14.00 per hour (£30K - £34K per annum).
- Full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, day shifts, and sleep-ins.
- Overtime: possibility of overtime if required.
- Work-life balance: 12-hour shifts with an average of 8 sleep-ins per month.
