Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner to join our team in Caterham, Surrey. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and secure environment for young people aged 14-15 with mild emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and plan shifts to ensure staff deployment meets children's needs and all risk assessments are adhered to.
  • Plan and engage young people in recreational and social activities that are constructive and enriching.
  • Act as a key worker for specific young people, managing casework, report writing, and care plans.
  • Comply with health and safety requirements and report any shortfalls immediately.
  • Step into shift lead roles as needed and maintain accurate casework records.
Requirements:
  • Must have experience working in a children's residential setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Committed to providing high-quality care and support to young people.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary: £14.00 per hour (£30K - £34K per annum).
  • Full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, day shifts, and sleep-ins.
  • Overtime opportunities available.
