About the Role

This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a Trust-wide, whole systems approach to delivering an equality and diversity framework in line with legislation, NHS Guidance and good practice.

As a key member of the People Resourcing and OD department, you will provide continuous improvement to provide Trust-wide leadership for the implementation of policies and guidelines that promote equality and diversity and social inclusion.

You will work directly and develop partnerships, both internal to and external of the organisation, to assist in the maintenance and development of effective equality and diversity and social inclusion work programmes.

Main Responsibilities

  • To ensure the delivery of the EDI elements of the Trust's People Plan, including the delivery of the WRES, WDES action plans and the NHS's six high impact EDI changes.
  • To develop a network of cultural inclusion ambassadors who can support the Trust's recruitment strategy and disciplinary processes.
  • To provide leadership and support to the Directorate with the development and implementation of workforce equality and diversity processes and plans (Staff Survey Action Plan).
  • To analyse recruitment data and develop strategies in partnership with the resourcing team that help ensure the Trust has a reflective workforce at all levels of the organisation.
  • To undertake specific time-limited development projects as determined by emerging government policy and strategy.
