Join the ICAEW team as a Commercial Partnerships Executive and play a key role in generating income through strategic partnerships with external organizations.

About the Role

The Commercial Partnerships team is responsible for developing and executing strategic partnerships that align with the Institute's technical requirements and member demographic. As a Commercial Partnerships Executive, you will be responsible for proposing and executing activities that provide mutual benefit to both parties.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify new business opportunities through new client acquisition and growth, spotting business opportunities and working with internal stakeholders.
  2. Generate revenue through partnerships, manage personal pipelines, and lead on key ICAEW initiatives.
  3. Support and work with the Commercial Partnerships Account Management team on delivery of client programs.
  4. Gain a detailed understanding of ICAEW's strategic objectives and those of our members.
  5. Gain a detailed understanding of clients' marketing and strategic objectives and work with these to align with our own in the form of a commercial partnership.
  6. Manage a specific portfolio of relationships, including developing new relationships with potential partners, making the best use of market intelligence, understanding their business and marketing objectives, and matching these to ICAEW's activities and plans.
  7. Develop and establish effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders to align relevant partners to their strategic objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good academic background, demonstrable sales and influencing skills.
  • Previous consultative sales experience.
  • Experience working and interacting with C-Suite professionals.
  • Interest or experience in business and finance, beneficial to understand complex issues and spot opportunities.
  • Proven project/time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal/influencing skills.
  • Ability to adapt and work with a variety of different personalities.
  • Demonstrable commercial experience including marketing strategy and planning.
  • Willingness to work well as part of a team, with a flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Good IT skills.
Desirable

Experience in sales, media, and marketing, exposure to the professional services industry, MS Dynamics, and understanding of financial controls, reporting, and P&Ls would be beneficial.
