About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Banking Leader to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Commercial Banking division, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Senior Client Relationship Managers, Client Relationship Managers, and Associate Group Leads to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute tactical plans to drive business growth, including market analysis, competitor research, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including credit analysts and risk management teams, to ensure effective credit adjudication and risk management practices.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to enhance their sales and leadership skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to inform business decisions and drive growth.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in commercial banking, sales leadership, and business development.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
