Career Opportunity: Nursery Chef/Cook

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Chef/Cook to join our team at Woodville Nursery School, part of Storal group of nurseries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for children, ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, and adhering to Storal's values of high standards, teamwork, and growth.

About the Role:

  • Prepare and serve balanced meals for children, catering to dietary needs
  • Implement Storal's values in food and hygiene practices, adhering to Chartered Institute of Environmental Health guidelines and Ofsted regulations
  • Ensure children's safety and provide stimulating experiences
  • Manage kitchen stock levels and rotation
  • Be aware of COSHH guidelines and follow relevant procedures
  • Deputise for the Cook in absences, with full-time deputisation expected when required

About You:

  • Level 2 Food and Hygiene certification
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
  • Alignment with Storal's values of responsibility, openness, and teamwork
