About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Assistant Nursery Chef/Cook to join our team at Woodville Nursery School. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide balanced and nutritious meals for all children attending the nursery, catering for children with specific dietary needs.
  • Instill Storal values in food and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Ofsted guidelines.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, providing rich and stimulating experiences.
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure stock rotation.
  • Be aware of COSHH guidelines and follow relevant procedures.
  • Deputise for the Cook in all absences, with the expectation of deputising full-time when required.
About You
  • Level 2 Food and Hygiene certification.
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH.
  • Alignment with Storal values, including responsibility, openness, and teamwork.
