About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Nursery Chef/Cook to join our team at Woodville Nursery School. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for our children, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment, and instilling our values of responsibility, openness, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare balanced and nutritious meals for all children, catering for those with specific dietary needs
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and safety regulations, as well as Ofsted guidelines
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for all children
  • Manage stock levels and ensure stock rotation
  • Deputise for the Cook in all absences, with the expectation of deputising full-time when required
About You:

We are looking for an individual with a Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualification, a minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role, and a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and COSHH. You should be able to reflect our values of responsibility, openness, and teamwork.
