Job Description

Your Role: Digital Transformation Specialist

You will be a key player in enhancing our digital presence as a Web Developer at Wigan Council. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, maintaining, and improving our websites, ensuring they are user-friendly and accessible. You'll work closely with all teams across the Council, transforming research findings into compelling design propositions and identifying new business opportunities.

About You

We're looking for a dynamic individual with a minimum of 2 years' experience in website development in a .NET environment. Your strong understanding of front-end web development, user-centred design, and web accessibility will be crucial. Experience with Angular, React, ASP.NET, MVC, and Web APIs is desirable. You should be a critical thinker, ready to challenge assumptions and innovate new solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in website development in a .NET environment
  • Strong understanding of front-end web development, user-centred design, and web accessibility
  • Experience with Angular, React, ASP.NET, MVC, and Web APIs (desirable)
