Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our client's team in Rugby. As a key member of the maintenance management team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the efficient execution of mechanical engineering and maintenance work to deliver excellence in plant reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise delivery of a safe mechanical physical environment at the Rugby plant.
  • Contribute as a member of the maintenance management team to formulate the plants maintenance strategies.
  • Supervise and coordinate the efficient execution of the daily, weekly, and monthly mechanical maintenance plan within the defined area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the planning department to ensure suitable parts, labour and equipment are available to deliver the maintenance plan.
  • Manage the section mechanical team concerning productivity, motivation and discipline.
  • Supervise the execution of preventative maintenance inspections and procedures to prevent unplanned stoppages.
  • Planning and coordinating the mechanical aspects of the annual plant shutdown within the agreed structure, collaborating with other disciplines, so plant safety is ensured, reliability and efficiency is optimised.
  • Monitor the budget on a daily basis in the relevant area.
  • Support the Mechanical Engineer in developing the plant mechanical maintenance budget for the relevant area.
  • Carry out systematic checks to ensure the mechanical team is issuing the correct documentation in relation to Health & Safety.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Mechanical Coordinator / Maintenance Team Leader (Essential)
  • Previous Experience Managing Budget
  • Technical Studies Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or Bachelor Degree (Essential)
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Knowledge of Computer Systems
