Family and Safeguarding Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family and Safeguarding Worker to join our team at The Forward Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting service users and their families impacted by addiction.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with service users, families, and carers to develop and implement comprehensive recovery plans.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide person-centered care that prioritizes the safety and well-being of service users.
- Liaise with other recovery workers and external agencies to ensure a holistic package of care and support for service users.
- Participate in safeguarding audits and contribute to the development of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of family-related work and make recommendations for improvement.
- Knowledge of local authority safeguarding pathways and frameworks for children and adults.
- Experience in recognizing and responding to safeguarding concerns within organizational safeguarding policies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies to promote recovery and reduce harm.
- Good understanding of substance misuse treatment pathways, including psychosocial and clinical treatment.
