Job Title: Senior Family Lawyer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Family Lawyer to join our team. As a Senior Family Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of family law cases from inception to resolution, including advocacy. You will work closely with clients and third-party contacts to build and maintain lasting relationships, and provide a first-class service to clients, presenting a positive image of Cullimore Dutton at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a caseload of family law cases, including divorce, finance, child-related matters, and domestic abuse matters.
  2. Supervise and develop junior colleagues within the department.
  3. Work closely with clients and third-party contacts to build and maintain relationships.
  4. Provide a first-class service to clients, presenting a positive image of Cullimore Dutton.
  5. Maintain a professional attitude and effective communications between clients, team members, and colleagues.
  6. Assist in business development and networking activities of the department and wider business.
  7. Recognise, respect, and honour client confidentiality at all times.
  8. Engage in business development to promote themselves, team, and business, with the ability to win work.
  9. Consistently meet financial targets.

Requirements:

  1. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams).
  2. Use of Ochresoft Case Management System desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
  3. Excellent communication skills both on the telephone and in person.
  4. Good time management skills, an awareness of deadlines, and the ability to prioritise where necessary.
  5. Ability to delegate work to junior members of staff in a clear manner.
  6. A good understanding of business development.
  7. Sound knowledge of department finances, i.e., targets/billing/WIP etc.
  8. Minimum of three years' experience of working as a Family Solicitor is essential.
