About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Making Space. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in supervising and delegating tasks to a dedicated team of support workers, ensuring that values-based support is delivered to the highest standards to the individuals we support.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and delegate tasks to a team of support workers, ensuring that values-based support is delivered to the highest standards.
- Support adults with various mental health conditions on a person-centered basis, from following care plans to administering medication and assisting with daily living.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to the individual's needs and goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure that individuals receive the best possible support.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and social workers, to ensure that individuals receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, and to stay up-to-date with best practices in the field.
Requirements
- Experience as a Support Worker or in a related role, with a strong understanding of values-based support and person-centered care.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership working.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
